Duplicate Cleaner ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Duplicate Cleaner mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App accesses, uses, and protects information while providing its features.

Information We Access

Duplicate Cleaner is designed to help you organize and manage your device efficiently. Depending on the features you use, the App may request permission to access:

• Photos and Videos to detect duplicate and similar media, organize albums, compress media, update metadata, and remove unwanted files.
• Contacts to identify duplicate contacts and help you merge or delete them.
• Device Information to display system status such as storage usage, memory (RAM), CPU usage, battery information, device specifications, and network status.
• Face ID or PIN Data (Secret Vault) to let you lock and unlock the Secret Vault feature, described below.

The App only accesses the information necessary to perform the features you choose to use.

How We Use Your Information

The information accessed by the App is used solely to:

• Find duplicate and similar photos, videos, and contacts.
• Compress and organize media.
• Create and manage photo albums.
• Update photo and video metadata.
• Display device diagnostics and system status.
• Help you monitor your device's storage, battery, memory, CPU, and network information.
• Let you securely store and access private photos, videos, and files using the Secret Vault feature.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any unrelated purpose.

Secret Vault

Secret Vault is a feature that allows you to securely store private photos, videos, and files within the App.

When you choose to use this feature, the selected media is stored securely on your device and protected using a PIN and/or Face ID authentication.

• We do not upload, access, view, or store the contents of your Secret Vault on our servers.
• All protected media remains on your device unless you choose to export, restore, or share it.
• Your PIN and Face ID data used to unlock the Secret Vault are processed and stored locally on your device using your device's secure authentication systems. We do not have access to, and never receive, your PIN or Face ID.
• Use of the Secret Vault is entirely optional and is only activated if you choose to add content to it.

Local Processing

All scanning, analysis, duplicate detection, compression, metadata updates, device diagnostics, and Secret Vault storage and authentication are performed locally on your device.

Your personal data, photos, videos, contacts, device information, and Secret Vault contents are not uploaded to our servers for processing.

No Payment or Subscription

The App does not have any payment or subscription features. It is available for use free of charge.

Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or sell your personal information, including any content you store in the Secret Vault.

The App does not maintain user accounts and does not require you to register.

Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data, photos, videos, contacts, device information, or Secret Vault contents with third parties except where required by law.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Since your personal data including content stored in the Secret Vault is processed and stored locally on your device, you remain in control of your information.

The Secret Vault uses your device's PIN and/or Face ID authentication to restrict access. We recommend keeping your device's operating system and security features up to date, as the security of the Secret Vault depends in part on your device's own lock and biometric systems.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
