QA Tester

Job Brief
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented QA Engineer with 2–4 years of experience in both manual and automation testing. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring high product quality through effective test planning, execution, and automation while collaborating closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities & Duties
- Analyze requirements, user stories, and technical documentation to understand project scope.
- Design, develop, and maintain test cases, test plans, and test scenarios.
- Perform manual testing including Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Integration, and UI/UX testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira, Trello, or Bugzilla.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and validate fixes.
- Conduct cross-browser and cross-platform testing for web and mobile.
- Execute API testing using Postman/Swagger and validate backend data using SQL queries
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Selenium / Cypress / Playwright.
- Work with automation frameworks such as PyTest, TestNG, or Page Object Model (POM).
- Automate repetitive scenarios and assist in regression automation.
- Generate detailed test execution reports and ensure defects are resolved before deployment.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to process improvements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and mentor junior team members when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in manual testing.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools (Selenium/Cypress/Playwright).
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Defect Life Cycle.
- Ability to write clear and comprehensive test cases.
- Knowledge of automation frameworks (PyTest/TestNG/POM).
- Experience with API testing and SQL for data validation.
- Familiarity with bug-tracking tools and version control systems (Git).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Good to Have
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Performance testing basics (JMeter, k6).
- Experience mentoring junior testers
